Here is a truly great example of a 1982 Ibanez GB-10 George Benson Signature model made in Japan, complete with the original flight case, truss rod tool, and original hang tag/registration card. Many players and collectors feel 1982 marked the end of the earliest and most desirable run of these legendary GB-10 models, and this one absolutely delivers the vibe, craftsmanship, and feel these guitars are known for.

This guitar is completely original and repair-free. Overall condition is excellent for a vintage, pre-owned instrument of this era. The binding on this example is in unusually nice shape, with only minimal cracking underneath the clear coat near the heel area that is definitely not an issue. It cannot be felt with your fingers. The only notable flaw is on the pickguard, where the binding has cracked in two places as pictured. All of the binding remains present and secure.

Cosmetically, you should expect honest vintage wear consistent with a well-cared-for guitar from the early 1980s. Flaws may consist of minor scratches, marks, light scuffs, and some hardware discoloration.

The guitar plays beautifully over the entire fingerboard without issue. The neck is straight, the truss rod works exactly as it should, and there is still plenty of bridge adjustment remaining to fine-tune the setup to your personal preference. Fretwear is minimal as pictured.
