As for you snobs, this is not the kind of bass you'd be interested in. You know who I'm talking about with those fancy Ken Smiths and Foderas with the Yin and Yang and such. No, this is for the common man. People like me — yes, with a blue shirt and a name on it that can appreciate a workmanlike performance. Nothing fancy. Just a slab of hardworking tonewood in that Grape Crush finish, two Music Man humbuckers, and enough low-end authority to make framed family photos rattle off the wall.

How's that? A Fodera? Way too much Cassius Clay for a rock-n-roll immortal.

No sir, I'd have to have a bass like this so I could ride that open "A" on this roasted maple neck and maple board. You know, like AC/DC's Cliff Williams.

You see, I'm a guitarist and all of that popping and slapping is foreign to me. But on the other hand, maybe finger tapping is foreign to you? Like I know. How's that, Bon?

See me ride out of the sunset
On your color TV screen
Out for all that I can get
If you know what I mean

Do you see what I mean? Just riding that open "A" like a boss. Now you know I'm an idiot, but a happy one at that. At this moment I'm scratching my head like a chimp in a space module thinking on what to do with the other four strings. Never mind. As for this?

Condition? Stolen from Ernie Ball's closet. Meaning this thing is essentially new.
Case? Original.
Setup? Naturally. Do I look barbaric?
Electronics? Fully functional.
Frets and truss rod? Like I said, new.

In closing, if you are in the market for a bass of this nature and get the concept of a long strap and a bass slung low, then by all means step on up. As for me? Well, like I'm Stanley Clarke over here. I'll be listening to Cliff dreaming of a day when I too can ride that "A" out of that sunset, on your color T.V. screen.
