The Kernom Ridge offers a comprehensive interface with Volume, Drive, MOOD, MID, PRE TONE, and POST TONE, plus a Preset footswitch for quick access to a second sound. The connectivity is impressive with true bypass via an electromechanical relay, an expression pedal input, and especially a full MIDI IN & OUT allowing recall of up to 128 presets. The 1 MΩ input impedance in guitar mode ensures perfect interaction with your pickups. The RIDGE is compatible with guitar, bass, and synths.

The MOOD setting is the real sonic game changer: in the first zones, we find an effective, mid-focused, singing, and immediately usable TS-like color; the penultimate position is particularly successful with a lot of headroom, transparency, and true dynamic response under the fingers; the last goes for a more compressed, denser character, with more low-mids. The Ridge can remain clear and articulate, or become thicker and more saturated, without losing that organic feel that makes you continue to play with the guitar's volume and the pick's attack.
