A Yngwie Malmsteen signature model with scalloped fretboard!

This is a 1993-1994 Fender Japan ST72-YM, a signature model of Yngwie Malmsteen.

The body joint is marked ST-37YM, but the catalog lists it as 140YM, so it's likely an ST72-140YM.

This model is based on the "DUCK," a modified 1972 Stratocaster that Malmsteen himself reportedly bought for £200 from a drummer who auditioned for his band in the late 70s.

It features a 4-bolt neck plate, brass nut, super jumbo frets, and a scalloped fingerboard, showcasing meticulous attention to detail.

The pickups have been replaced: a DiMarzio DP217 in the neck position and a DiMarzio DP217 from a different era in the bridge position.
