Originally this guitar was a 2 pickup black beauty. I bought it because it had a broken neck. I repaired it and was originally going to fully restore it but it had so many cool looking dings and dents it had too much character so I decided to tribute it to Peter Framptons Phoenix black beauty which also has its share of road wear. The pickups and electronics are all modded. the neck and bridge are Gibson 57 pickups and the middle cavity was routed out and a Seymour Duncan humbucker pickup was added in the middle. It is wired like the Frampton guitar so there is 3 volumes one for each pickup and a main tone knob. The middle pickup is always on essentially on all toggle positions so you can blend it into the neck and bridge positions with the volume knob. It plays great and sounds great.
