FoxOD – Dual Overdrive Pedal

The Z-Fx Pedals FoxOD Guitar Pedal is a dual overdrive pedal combining two highly versatile transparent-style overdrive circuits into a single flexible platform. Featuring a Timmy-inspired overdrive on the right side and a Blues Breaker/Morning Glory-inspired circuit on the left, the FoxOD delivers a wide range of tones from subtle edge-of-breakup textures to rich, harmonically layered stacked overdrive sounds.

Each side of the pedal functions independently and can also be stacked together for more complex gain structures and amp-like saturation. A center-mounted order switch allows you to select which side of the pedal appears first in the signal chain, dramatically changing the feel, compression, and overall response when stacking both circuits together.

Right Side – Timmy-Style Overdrive

The right side of the FoxOD is inspired by the Paul Cochrane Timmy circuit, known for its open, dynamic response and highly transparent character. This side excels as a clean boost, low-gain always-on overdrive, or full-bodied medium gain drive depending on control settings.

Controls:
• Volume – Adjust overall output level
• Gain – Controls gain and saturation
• Bass – Adds additional low-end response to the signal
• Treble – Adds additional high-end presence and clarity
• Mode Toggle – Selects between Regular, Asymmetrical, and Compressed clipping modes for different gain textures and feel

Left Side – Blues Breaker / Morning Glory-Style Overdrive

The left side is based on the classic Marshall Blues Breaker style circuit with additional modifications to improve output volume and expand tonal flexibility. This side delivers smooth, amp-like breakup with excellent touch sensitivity and works equally well as a transparent boost or standalone overdrive.

Controls:
• Volume – Adjust overall output level
• Gain – Controls gain and saturation
• Tone – Shapes overall EQ and brightness
• Clipping Switch – Up position engages soft clipping, down position engages hard clipping for a more saturated response (hard clipping mode includes a slight volume drop)
