Usage Notes
These are not the same as the Sonus Faber Minima Amator FM2 — the Parva FM2 is a separate, smaller‑sized model with different driver and enclosure design Audiogon Discussion Forum.
The Parva FM2 is intended for a more compact listening space, with a focus on clarity and detail rather than deep bass extension.
They are typically paired with a high‑current amplifier to fully realize their potential.
If you’re considering them, ensure your amplifier can deliver sufficient current and that your room size matches their intended footprint.
The original Sonus Faber Parva was launched around 1983 as the company's first commercial product. It was produced in the 1980s, with some sources indicating production spanned from 1982 to 1990.
Initial Launch: The Parva (Latin for "small") was introduced as a 2-way bookshelf monitor in solid walnut wood and leather to begin the company's history. Production Era: These speakers were manufactured in the early-to-mid 1980s in Vicenza, Italy, under founder Franco Serblin.
Model Nuance: While the Parva was the first, it was later followed by other early bookshelf models like the Minima and Electa Amator.
Note: Some sources might refer to later versions or related models (like the "Minima FM2" or "Parva FM4") that appeared in the early 1990s, but the original Parva was a 1983 debut.
