This is not just the best fuzz pedal fro EHX, lthink it's the best Pedal of all time. Without question it's the best fuzz. David Gilmour has used this pedal live and in the studio thousands of times. ..It literally can be used for any genre of music. This is the very first Civil War from 1990-1991, from the VERY FIRST PRODUCION batch!!

If an original Klon overdrive costs $7, $8,$10 grand, then this pedal is an absolute steal..I've had this pedal checked out by Alchemy audio to make sure everything is perfect, and it is like new from top to bottom and 100% stock. It is missing the battery door but that's very common for these. You can buy a 3D printed battery cover.. I love boosting this pedal!! I can boost it with any boost from a tube screamer to an Xotic booster, seriously it sounds great with any booster in front of it or after it. One of the things I love most about it is it behaves with wah pedals without all the crazy noise. Most wah's are loud with white noise and hissing.

This pedal actually hasn't been used very much. The pain most of the Civil War pedals look bad because ehx used a defective primer, but I think it looks cool anyway. They are built like freaking tanks, definitely the strongest and most ruggedly built ehx or Sovtek fuzz pedal.

Big Muffs cant even touch this, even the very vintage ones from the 70's. I realize that it's expensive but it is so worth it, and they are only going to go up the price. If you're going to collect pedals this is certainly one to put in your collection. This is the rarest of any of the big muffs and Sovtek pedals, no question about it. If you take care of this pedal it will last for years. I put hockey puck style knobs on it and I will include the originals. Super smooth pots. The input and output Jacks are perfect. It has the original four "trash can" style geranium transistors. I have had many people try to buy this pedal from me it's not even funny. It's not expensive only because of the rarity of it, it's expensive because it sounds better than any amplifier. This will make the crappiest amplifier sound like a million bucks. No box. The reason why these are so expensive isnt only because they are rare , because they sound great and sound better than most amps that cost thousands. I can put this pedal on any crappy clean amp, and this pedal will make that amp sound like a $4,000 amplifier. When I play this pedal for friends, they just can't believe it. They also sound fantastic boosted with a boost pedal or stacked with other drive pedals... and they behave well with any wah without all the ridiculous noise. Not all Civil War pedals are the same, I'm telling you straight up, this one is the best one on reverb. It's an early one from the very first batch, very low serial to, under #1000. This is the one you want, I give you my word. It's been checked from top to bottom. Yeah, I sent this pedal all the way to Alchemy Audio in Minneapolis just to be gone through completely and checked out.. it has a 100% great bill of health. I don't want to sell an expensive pedal like this without it being thoroughly checked, as I'm sure you would understand, so it was worth the money to have him check it out and ship it. (Just because something sounds good doesn't mean components are getting weak and about to break, you won't have to worry about that with this one, every component was tested.)

If you find one of these that is 100% stock, without a single problem for a grand or less, then beware. The one thing you will get from buying from me is that not only will you get the very best Civil War, but you will have peace of mind.
