Hotter, angrier, and fuzzier than its germanium-equipped sibling, the Fulltone ’70 snarls with a spot-on re-creation of the world’s most iconic circle-shaped silicon-style fuzzbox. The heart of this pedal lies in its dual silicon BC-108C transistors, which have been intentionally mismatched by Fulltone to enhance the ’70 BC-108C’s harmonic-rich bite. Just like the original, tweaking the ’70 BC-108C’s highly interactive Volume and Fuzz controls unlocks a plethora of tonal colors, from a touch of raspy overdrive to blow-out and sputtering single-note leads. And while this pedal remains tonally true to the vintage stompbox that inspired it, the ’70 BC-108C upgrades the 2-knob formula of the original with an additional Mids control that sharpens up your sound and allows you to slice through any mix!
