Matt Pulcinella Level 5 w/ Minor Updates. Includes Hard Case.

This is the only MPG Level 5 I have seen with this wood combination. It appears to be a Mahogany tone block with Ash sides and a Quilted Maple top. Maple neck with a beautiful Birdseye Maple finger board. Abalone dots?

EMG DC40? and EMG BQC preamp. I added a passive tone control with Orange Drop capacitor. I installed a new volume pot too so all pots have great tactical feel. The bass came with a very old EMG BQ-A (Basically a hard wired BQC preamp with separate Bass and Treble controls). I will include that with the bass. I put the BQC in so the Bass and Treble are stacked allowing for the Passive tone control to be installed without an additional hole. Works great! Thanks to the folks at EMG for being so generous.

I swapped the original bridge to a HipShot A Style bridge. No new holes made for new bridge. Hole pattern was the same and I used the original screws with the new bridge too. Looked best. The original looks like a RubaTone or something. Weighs exactly the same as the Hipshot A Style in brass, strange. I will include that too.

Sports some new knobs.

Weighs 9lb 4oz, maybe a touch less but went with highest reading on kitchen scale. It balances great sitting down or on a strap. Very comfortable.

String space is 19mm (adjustable by 1.5mm). Nut width is 1.75". Scale is 35".

I was very excited to get this bass, spruce it up and make it personal. I played it exclusively six months while my Lakland 44-94 was in the shop. It plays and sounds wonderful. I just can't play a five string as well as four. I also learned that I am not a Maple finger board guy either.

Comes with the original case that has seen some wear. I patched up a corner or two. It still does the job.
