The Taylor T5 LTD 09 is one of Taylor’s most innovative instruments, blending the feel and response of an acoustic guitar with the flexibility and power of an electric. Designed around Taylor’s sleek thinline T5 body shape, this limited Spring 2009 edition delivers an impressive range of tones while maintaining the comfort and playability Taylor is known for.

What makes this particular T5 stand out is its beautifully figured ovangkol top paired with a sapele body. Ovangkol brings a warm, mellow voice with rich overtones and excellent sustain, while also offering a striking visual character similar to Hawaiian koa. Combined with Taylor’s carved hollowbody construction and stylized f-holes, the result is a guitar that feels lively and resonant whether plugged in or played acoustically.

The T5 LTD 09 was built to cover an incredible amount of sonic ground. Its next-generation Taylor T5 electronics system features a 5-way selector switch and multiple pickup sources, allowing the guitar to move from sparkling acoustic-style tones to warm jazz textures, classic single-coil sounds, and full humbucker-style drive with ease. The T5 CMR air-coil bridge pickup delivers everything from Tele-style snap to Gretsch-inspired chime and thicker electric tones, while the hidden neck pickup adds warmth and punch. A dynamic body sensor captures the shimmer and detail of the guitar’s acoustic character, making the T5 equally comfortable through an acoustic amp, electric amp, or direct setup.

Inspired by the Grand Auditorium silhouette, the T5 LTD 09 features a comfortable carved sapele body with a Tropical American mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. The shorter 24 7/8" scale length gives the guitar a fast, effortless feel, making it equally enjoyable for acoustic and electric players alike. This Taylor T5 is in very good condition. Minimal fret wear. There are scratches and dings on the guitar from normal playing wear. Overall in great shape for a 17 year old guitar.
