The PRS 40th Anniversary Custom 24-08 Semi-Hollow Limited Edition in Faded Whale Blue celebrates four decades of PRS guitar building with a blend of classic Custom appointments and expanded tonal control. Limited to 300 pieces worldwide, this special edition includes a hand-signed 40th Anniversary certificate.
A 10-top grade figured maple top pairs with a mahogany back and neck, while semi-hollow construction and an f-hole bring an open, resonant character to the design. A ziricote fretboard and matching headstock veneer complement the old-school bird inlays with outlines. The neck features 24 frets and a 25-inch scale length.
TCI pickups, made with American alnico and updated build specifications, deliver a full, musical voice with single-coil and soapbar-inspired qualities. Dual EQ mini-toggle switches act as tuned high-pass filters when engaged in the up position, reducing low-end content for added clarity and brighter highs. These are EQ switches, not coil-tap switches.
A PRS Gen III patented tremolo and Phase III locking tuners with Wing buttons round out the instrument's hardware.
