1960 Fender Pro amp. (5G5 circuit)
If you’re looking at a 1960 Fender Pro Amp, you’re in serious vintage territory—this is one of the transitional “brownface” era amps that sits between the earlier tweed sound and the later blackface tone. Features a single 15″ JBL D130 speaker, brown Tolex covering, and Fender’s lush harmonic vibrato (often dubbed tremolo). Highly regarded for its rich, woody clean tone that transitions into sweet overdrive.
