1941 Gibson L-5P — Pre-War Script Logo | Factory Refin | DeArmond 1100 | 1950s Hardcase
A wonderful example of Gibson's flagship archtop from the pre-war era, this L-5 Premier combines vintage pedigree with playability and tone.
The guitar features the desirable pre-war script logo and a beautifully flamed back. We believe it received a factory refinish in the 1950s (which probably explains the 50's tan/pink case)- the finish shows checking and wear entirely consistent with its age and history and is consistent cosmetically with Gibson sunburst finishes of this era.
Fitted with a late-1960s DeArmond 1100 floating pickup in gold finish - the top-of-the-line model of its era — the guitar delivers a rich, articulate voice that pairs beautifully with the L-5's natural resonance.
Includes a 1950s Gibson tan hardcase with pink lining, likely original to the refinish period.
