Inspired by the fast, fluid playing style of Billy Strings, the Martin D-X2E Billy Strings Signature Acoustic/Electric Guitar captures the spirit of a road-tested dreadnought while keeping things accessible for everyday players. Modeled after his beloved pre-war instruments, this guitar invites you to dig in with confidence — whether you’re flatpicking hard-driving bluegrass runs or easing into warm, expressive chord work. Available now at Haggerty’s Music, it’s a signature model that feels less like a collector’s piece and more like a partner for real musical moments.

At its core, this D-14 fret dreadnought blends durability and tone with a solid spruce top and Brazilian rosewood-patterned HPL back and sides, delivering a bold, projecting voice with clarity and punch. Its custom 25" scale length and slightly wider nut width create a more relaxed feel under your fingers, making intricate runs and quick transitions smoother and more comfortable to execute. The modified low oval neck with standard taper, ebony fingerboard with faux abalone inlays, and scalloped X-bracing all come together to provide a balanced, responsive playing experience that holds up across styles.

Built for both stage and travel, the Martin E1 electronics system with onboard tuner ensures you’re always performance-ready, whether plugged in or playing unplugged at home. Thoughtful details like nickel open-gear tuners, a classic style 28 rosette, and a custom interior label with Billy’s signature add personality without sacrificing function. Complete with a rugged hemp softshell gig bag, this guitar is designed to go wherever the music takes you — and you can find it ready to play at Haggerty’s Music.
