In 1985 Fender USA transitioned to their new factory in Corona, leading to a temporary drop in quality. Japan was there to fill the gap in the market, producing notoriously good guitars during that era. Some Japanese models of that time were even preferable to Fender Custom Shop.
This 1988 Made-in-Japan Fender Stratocaster is in excellent condition. It rocks a basswood body, finished in Olympic White. It has a maple neck, rosewood fretboard, and a vintage-style tremolo bridge (included in case). The original pickups have been upgraded with EMG's, and Schaller strap locks were installed. There are a few small dents and scratches due to moderate use. The frets are in good condition with plenty of life left. We're happy to provide addition pictures upon request.
This guitar comes with a hard case and has been thoroughly inspected and set up by our expert tech.
