This Les Paul was ordered by Gibson’s Japanese distributor Yamano; Gibson’s USA-made guitars distributed via Yamano are often considered to be among their absolute best, featuring the highest quality woods picked for Gibson’s discerning Japanese audience. This Les Paul also includes the uncommon “Premium Quality For Japan” Gibson/Yamano hangtag.

Tonewoods include a mahogany body and mahogany neck capped by a rosewood fretboard, yielding plenty of natural midrange warmth and growl. The P-100 pickups deliver P-90 bark, glassy treble presence, and midrange power, and the second dummy coil ensures hum-free performance. The gloss TV Yellow nitro lacquer finish is bright and bold with some light vertical checking, and cosmetic wear is limited to one small finish chip on the edge of the top and some small dings on the body. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is clean and smooth with just a couple shallow marks.
