DESCRIPTION

This is a gently used Pearl BLX Series 10x12" (depth x diameter) mounted tom that recently came into our shop on trade. Manufactured in the late 80s or early 90s, this drum features a 6-ply all-birch shell, chrome hardware, badge number 677712, RIMS mount, and a beautiful Sequoia Red lacquered finish. The hoops are not original. The batter is a Pearl MasterCast hoop, and the reso side is a standard triple-flanged hoop. As a previously owned instrument, you should expect typical signs of age-appropriate handling and use, including surface scuffs, scratches, and dings (especially where the snare would have come in contact with the shell), light pitting and corrosion on some of the hardware, stick marks on the heads, a bit of dust here and there, and a few fingerprints. Also note that there is a more significant ding under the RIMS mount bracket, and that one of the mounting bolts is missing from the RIMS mount bracket itself). Cosmetic wear aside, this drum is in very good overall condition, it is fully functional, structurally sound, in-round, the bearing edges are in great shape, and it sounds fantastic!
