This guitar comes in on consignment from from a really kind widow I met recently. Her husband of 50 years passed away a couple years ago, and he left behind quite the nice selection of gear. My associate Jad and I drove out to help her sort through and prioritize the collection and give her some guidence on which items to keep and which items to sell. This is one of the items she has decided to sell. It was one of those cases where the more I learned about her husband the more I am sad I never met him. Seems like a kindred spirit. 

He liked to tinker - this guitar was in the case with the guts all hanging out and it had some oddball Bill Lawrence pickups that did not really fit the vibe of the guitar. It seems as though he got frustrated with hollowbody wiring and left it be - so I finished it for him. 

The pickups are GIBSON - the bridge is a Burstbucker and the neck is a 490R. Both sound great, classic "hollowbody with PAFs" tone. The bridge circuit is the original electronics. The neck circuit was pretty trashed so I replaced it with 2 min CTS 500K pots and an orange drop cap.  

The guitar has some light wear, dings etc from the electronics rolling around in the case, but the guitar plays great. Eastman really is one of the most underrated guitar companies. 

As always, we cleaned it up, polished the finish, flushed the electronics (if applicable), changed the strings, performed all routine maintenance and set the action low and smooth. All of our packages are packed tight enough to survive the apocalypse and we insure every parcel for the full purchase amount.
