Electric Soul presents the Fender Stratocaster Eric Clapton Signature guitar. This is not the classic “Blackie,” but a rather rare version in the sought-after Candy Green color.
This guitar comes from the professional American-made Artist series, inspired by legendary instruments of the greatest musicians. Signature models in this series have been created for top artists such as Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Of course, “Slowhand” had to be part of this group, as he is one of the most important Fender Stratocaster players in music history.
Clapton’s signature model has been produced for many years and is considered one of the best Stratocasters on the market, with fans all over the world. It’s not cheap and has an unique specifications and association with a guitar legend make it very popular, and Fender sells many of them every year.
Over time, several versions of Clapton’s signature guitars have been released. They combine classic features of the original “Blackie” with small improvements based on Clapton’s preferences. The core design remains the same: a maple neck and an alder body. Like 1950s Stratocasters, it has a V-shaped neck profile and small frets. However, it has 22 frets (one more than usual) and a modified fingerboard radius, making it more comfortable and reducing string choking during bends with low action. Clapton experimented with different pickups over the years, but recent versions feature Vintage Noiseless pickups. Another key feature is the advanced electronics, including mid-boost and a Treble Bass Expander. These elements strongly influence the tone and clearly set this model apart from other Stratocasters.
The guitar was made in 2002. It is nearly 25 years old but looks great. You may notice some minor cosmetic signs of normal use, such as small scratches or dings, but nothing significant.
Technically, everything works perfectly. All parts are fully functional, and the guitar remains in factory configuration, except for the bridge saddles, which have been replaced with Callaham ones. The frets are in excellent condition and do not need any work.
The guitar comes with its original, stylish hard case with black exterior and red interior.
