Straight up - This bass has the best neck and set up of any Hofner we have had in. LOW action, perfect relief, excellent truss rod. Yes the guard is missing, the knobs are new knobs that go on a German bass BUT we have the orig knobs in the case. The orig knobs are missing the foils and are chippy. The case is an orig case but looks to be from an early to mid 70s Hofner. The bass as stated plays great, the neck set is factory perfect, see the pics. The bass has a few interesting features. The large surround pickups are around a set of Super branded pickups. The control plate is flat white and correct, its not the toilet seat plastic. We dissected the bass. It's correct, there are no extra holes. No excuses, no stories. One of the tuners has a slight bend but looks good and works fine. Like we said, this one plays silly. Set up with flats and sounds awesome. Being these have no serial number, we dates on the features and the features point to early to mid 1966.
