Fender American Vintage II 1960 Precision Electric Bass. Made in 2024 in the USA. This is the best deal on one of these P basses on Reverb. Alder body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with a Fender Pure Vintage '60 Split-Coil Precision pickup, 2 knobs for Volume and Tone. The 34" scale length neck has clay dot inlays and clay side markers with 20 "Vintage wire" frets on a 7.25" radius with a 1960 "C" profile. The hardware is comprised of nickel/chrome Fender Pure Vintage Reverse Open-Gear tuning machines with clover heads, a bone nut, Fender Pure Vintage 4-Saddle bridge with threaded steel saddles and chrome knurled flat top knobs with a 4 ply tortoise pickguard. Stock these come exactly as you see with both the bridge and neck pickup covers installed. The bridge cover has foam inside it that when installed gives a nice thumpy tone. Ive mostly used it with the covers off but they will come installed as shown.

These are finished in Nitrocellulose Lacquer, both body and neck just like Fender used back in the 50s/60s. These finishes will age more with time than traditional polyurethane paint. While this bass is used it's under 2 years old and in great shape. It was sold new by Sweetwater. The original paperwork and Certificate of Authenticity is in the case, along with the original case keys. There are only a few minor finish blemishes. A few light scuffs around the edges, superficial scratches from regular use, a very small finish crack in the neck pocket and a small ding. I took the time to photograph all these so please view all images. The last photo is the weight on my accurate postal scale. It's currently strung with flatwounds and plays great.
