Here is my mint condition Epiphone Flying V, Official Hendrix replica Flying V, 'Love Drops' complete with Gibson Custom Shop Custombucker pickups.

Not a mark on it bar a few surface swirls that really only show up under strong light and at an angle. I tried hard to capture this on the photos of the plain black back of the guitar.

I am selling as, to be honest, I bought it on from Andertons two years ago on a whim, as a massive Hendrix fan, but really only have it on the wall.

The story goes that Jimi took his plain black Gibson Flying V (which was originally tobacco sunburst) and decorated it with his then-girlfriend Julie Etchingham's nail varnish before playing it on stage.

It comes with the original hardshell case, decorated with Hendrix Estate official licensed image of Jimi and lined in beautiful turquoise plush. Includes all case candy including 4 stickers, case key, shipping note from Andertons and even the four little bags of silica gel.

The pickups sound fantastic. Very articulate and responsive. Depending on how much gain you use you gan get everything from a twangy or lush jazzy clean to full-throated distortion complete with pinch harmonics.

Balances perfectly on a strap and let's be honest, who plays a V sitting down?

The Maestro trem is lovely - sitting somewhere between a Bigsby wobble and a Fender-style pitch bend.
The guitar’s electronics are top-notch, featuring USA-made Gibson Custombucker humbuckers™, CTS® potentiometers, a Mallory™ tone capacitor, and a Switchcraft® three-way pickup selector.

I have played it in the house (which is smoke and pet free).

The case has a couple of very small (<8mm) scuffs and a couple of surface marks but is full operational and in overall excellent condition.
