Here is a 2018 Fender Custom Shop '62 HSS Stratocaster in Lake Placid Blue Heavy Relic finish. Includes the original hardshell case, CoA, paperwork and accessories. It doesn't get much cooler than a Lake Placid Blue Strat, and you certainly don't have to worry about being the person to put the first scratch or ding on this one! Fender really nailed the aging, in my opinion. It both looks and feels nicely worn in, making it a blast to play. It weighs in at just under 7.5 lb and is nicely balanced. Some notable features include a quarter-sawn maple neck, AAA-grade dark rosewood fretboard with 6105 frets, and Hand-Wired '60s neck and middle pickups with a Seymour Duncan JB bridge pickup. The neck starts out on the slimmer side and fairly quickly fills out into a medium-chunky C shape. It feels super smooth and fast to play on, and is probably my favorite neck profile on a Strat. The neck and middle pickups are punchy and full-bodied, with plenty of clarity. The bridge humbucker adds a lot of tonal versatility to the guitar, and as you might expect, sounds fantastic when kicking on an overdrive pedal or playing through an already broken-up amp. This guitar is super dynamic and fun to play, with a lot of great usable tones on tap. The JB bridge humbucker suits it quite well. Both the bridge and middle pickups use the bottom Tone control, the neck pickup uses the middle Tone control, and the Vol control works as a master volume for each pickup. It's set up with '10s for comfy action and plays effortlessly! I've included a photo of the floor traveler so you can check out all of the build details.
Condition: This guitar is in Excellent condition. The frets show just a bit of light wear, but nothing that even comes close to affecting playability. They feel very smooth, and are easy to play on. There doesn't appear to be any actual play wear additional to the Fender Custom Shop aging. This guitar came to me from the original owner who only played it at home, so it's been well taken care of. The case does have a few small scuffs on the outside, but is very clean overall, and it functions perfectly fine.
*Note - Upon receiving the guitar, please let it acclimate to room temperature before opening the case and removing it. It's especially important with nitro-finished guitars to prevent lacquer checking/cracking. As always, when a guitar is being shipped to an area with a different climate, it's best to let it settle in for a few days before having any necessary setup adjustments made (if any) by a competent tech to fit your personal preference.
Please message me with any questions or concerns before submitting offers and/or payment and I will be happy to help. This guitar will be packaged extremely well using a heavy duty box and plenty of packing material to ensure it's safety during transit. It will also be insured for the full value. Signature required upon delivery. Sold as-is, no returns. Thank you!
