Up for sale is a seriously upgraded 2008 Gretsch G5120 that has been transformed from a great entry-level hollow body into a professional-grade rockabilly and country machine. Finished in a stunning burgundy, this guitar features custom hand-painted pinstriping that gives it a unique, one-of-a-kind look.
The "Pro-Spec" Upgrades
- TV Jones Pickups: The biggest bottleneck on stock 5120s are the "Gretsch-buckers." These have been replaced with genuine TV Jones pickups, providing the high-end clarity, "snap," and growl found in the Pro-line 6120 models.
- Premium Electronics: Rewired with CTS Pots for superior taper control and long-term reliability.
- Grover Locking Tuners: Say goodbye to tuning issues. These locking tuners paired with the Bigsby ensure you stay in tune even during heavy vibrato use.

Condition & Playability
The guitar is in excellent "player" condition. The finish is glossy and vibrant. There are very minor signs of use consistent with its age (see close-up photos for a few small finish nicks/surface marks on the side), but it has been very well-cared for.
The neck is straight, the action is set for fast rhythm and lead work, and the TV Jones pickups sound absolutely massive through a clean or slightly overdriven tube amp.
