We love Fender Custom Shop Basses here, and while we custom order a lot ourselves, sometimes one from somewhere else comes in and really grabs us..  That's what we have here with this amazing Custom Shop 1964 Precision Bass, tastefully done as a Relic in Aged Vintage White.  It's instantly recognizable with a great vintage vibe, especially with the nice touch of a tortoiseshell pickguard.

The Custom Shop nailed the finish - the color is spot on, the aging applied is extremely well done.  If you want a minty fresh clean instrument this isn't it.  However, if you a realy player that you can beat on endlessly, this is a great choice.  The Relic treatment isn't just about looks though - it's about comfort too.  The back of the neck has a real broken-in feel, making this bass something you won't want to put down.  The rock solid quartersawn maple neck is topped off with a nice dark rosewood board and clay dots.  It has medium jumbo frets for a little modern tweak that enhances playability.

A Custom Shop Handwound 62 P Bass pickup provides classic P Bass tone, known as "the sound heard around the world".  It's versatile, and can be used in a variety of settings, from old school R&B to punk and everything in between.   Whether dialed up or pulled back a bit, you'll be able to get just the right amount of thump and classic Fender tone.

Other features include a vintage bridge and tuners, as well as other period correct specs like a disc string tree and bone nut.  The bass comes without the bridge and pickup covers installed, which of course can be added on (if you'd like us to do so, that's no problem).  It includes a vintage style Deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
