This Beyerdynamic M400N(C) Soundstar MK II is a classic stage mic. Not only a vintage German microphone. It still produces a phenomenal sound. Microphone only.
Super-Cardioid, going from 40Hz to 16kHz, it sounds deep and pleasant, with a very good articulation and balanced proximity effect reminiscent of a Beyerdynamic M69 or M88.
Great as a live or studio vocal microphone, but also more than apt as an amp, or drum kit (excels on tom toms with its slight low frequency roll-off) brass and reeds dedicated microphone.
