A true tribute to one of Japan’s most influential guitarists, this Char Signature Mustang captures the essence of a legendary career while pushing the platform into new sonic territory. Inspired by Char’s iconic Olympic White Mustang, this model blends classic offset feel with modernized functionality rooted in Stratocaster-style performance.
This isn’t just a reissue—it’s a thoughtful evolution. Designed around Char’s long-standing vision of “a Mustang with Stratocaster functionality,” this instrument delivers enhanced playability, improved control layout, and a newly developed synchronized tremolo system adapted to the Mustang’s slimmer body profile. The result is a uniquely expressive offset that retains the Mustang’s signature feel while unlocking smoother, more stable tremolo performance.
The switching system has also been streamlined with a 3-position toggle, offering intuitive pickup selection akin to a Strat, while the repositioned control knobs allow for more natural volume swells and on-the-fly adjustments.
Sonically, the dual Single-Coil Mustang pickups provide that unmistakable chime and bite—lively, articulate, and responsive across clean and driven tones.
