Summary:
The G6136T-59 Vintage Select Edition ’59 Falcon™ Hollow Body with Bigsby® is a refined tribute to a classic era of electric guitars, blending vintage-inspired design with modern craftsmanship. Built to capture the look and feel of the late ’50s, this instrument delivers both striking aesthetics and a rich, expressive sound that responds beautifully to every nuance of your playing. It features a pair of TV Jones® Classic pickups that produce a powerful, dynamic tone, complemented by Gretsch “Squeezebox” capacitors for smooth, clear highs. The Bigsby B6GVT vibrato tailpiece adds expressive pitch variation, while the pinned Space Control™ bridge and bone nut help maintain excellent tuning stability. Constructed with a resonant laminated maple body and 1959-style trestle bracing, the guitar offers strong projection and a well-balanced tonal range. The maple neck has a comfortable “U”-shaped profile, paired with a 12-inch radius ebony fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and signature thumbnail inlays—making it easy to play everything from complex chords to detailed lead lines. Visually, the guitar stands out with its luxurious gold hardware, sparkling binding on the neck, body, and F-holes, and a vintage white gloss nitrocellulose finish. A gold plexi pickguard with the Gretsch logo completes the iconic look. With its combination of elegant design and powerful sound, this Falcon model represents one of Gretsch’s most distinguished offerings and comes with a deluxe hardshell case.
