The Charvel Jake E Lee Signature Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HSS HT RW Blue Burst is modelled on the iconic Blue Burst guitar that the former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist played back in the 1980s, and combines the classic Hot Rod design with a versatile HSS pickup configuration. The alder body features a bolt-on, quarter-sawn maple neck with a smooth Speed Neck profile, whilst the rosewood fingerboard, with a 12"-16" compound radius and 22 frets, provides a comfortable playing surface for fast riffs and extended lead playing. In terms of tone, an assertive Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB trembucker at the bridge is paired with two powerful DiMarzio DP111 SDS-1 single-coil pickups in the middle and neck positions, which are deliberately kept simple to control via a 5-way switch and a single volume control. A fixed Charvel HT6 hardtail bridge and locking tuners ensure reliable string action and tuning stability, whilst black and gold hardware complements the distinctive blue-burst finish perfectly.
