The Gretsch Custom Shop Masterbuilt G6134 Penguin Relic in White is a striking fusion of vintage elegance and modern craftsmanship, meticulously built by Master Builder Chad Henrichsen. Designed for players who demand both visual sophistication and tonal excellence, this instrument embodies the legacy of Gretsch at its highest level.

Crafted with a chambered mahogany body and an arched laminated maple top, the Penguin delivers a rich, resonant voice with exceptional clarity and sustain. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish, aged to a tasteful relic patina, enhances both the guitar’s vintage character and its acoustic responsiveness. Its classic white finish is elevated by gold sparkle binding and relic’d gold hardware, creating a timeless, luxurious aesthetic.

The one-piece mahogany neck features a comfortable Standard “C” profile, paired with a smooth ebony fingerboard adorned with intricate mother-of-pearl humpblock inlays and feather engraving. With a 24.6” scale length, 12” radius, and 22 frets, the guitar offers a familiar, effortless playing experience suited for a wide range of styles.

Equipped with a pair of TV Jones Classic pickups, this Penguin produces the iconic Gretsch tone—articulate, dynamic, and full of character. From warm, rounded neck tones to bright, cutting bridge sounds, the versatile control layout (master volume, individual pickup volumes, and selector switch) allows for precise tonal shaping.

Premium hardware includes a Synchro-Sonic™ bridge paired with a G-Cadillac tailpiece, ensuring stable tuning and excellent resonance, while Grover® Imperial™ die-cast tuners provide reliable performance. Weighing in at 8 lbs 7 oz, the guitar balances substance with comfort.

Complete with a Gretsch Custom Shop hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity, this Masterbuilt Penguin is more than an instrument—it’s a collector-grade piece that delivers uncompromising style, feel, and sound.
