The authentic look, tone, and feel of a ’60s Les Paul for any stage
Epiphone’s long friendship with Mr. Les Paul began in 1940, when Les spent his evenings experimenting at what was then the Epiphone factory in Manhattan, where he built one of the world’s first solid-body electric guitars.
Les’s first solid-body guitar, nicknamed “The Log,” would later inspire the Les Paul Standard, which many consider the best electric guitar of all time. The Les Paul Standard 60s models from the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Collection recreate the look, feel, and sound of Les Pauls from the early 1960s. They feature a mahogany body with a maple top, and the models with a translucent finish have an additional AAA-grade flamed maple veneer that shows through the finish, creating the classic “Flame Top” look.
The mahogany neck features a laurel-patterned fingerboard with pearlescent trapezoid inlays, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and a fast 60s SlimTaper profile. The headstock is equipped with high-quality Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech nut for rock-solid tuning stability, so you can spend more time playing and less time tuning. The Les Paul Standard 60s is powered by a perfectly balanced set of Epiphone’s renowned ProBucker pickups—a ProBucker 2 in the neck position and a slightly hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge—and each pickup is individually wired to its own volume and tone controls featuring CTS potentiometers.
