With its gracefully sculpted and resonant hollowbody, arched spruce top, and three-piece neck it updates the classic Guild Manhattan models of the 1950’s and ‘60s with a touch of modern flair. The secret to this model’s iconic tone lies in the authentic DeArmond Dynasonic neck and bridge pickups, providing crystal clears highs and a full, round low-end; the makings of the iconic tones of rockabilly and blues from the 1950’s on forward. Complimenting the tonal pallet of the Dynasonic pickups, the X-175 Manhattan Special features a Guild Vibrato Tailpiece for expressive playing. Other premium features include fully bound body, neck, F-holes, and headstock, mother-of-pearl block fretboard inlays, and a hard-shell case. Available in three new satin custom color: Gold Coast.
