Bought new from Vintage King in December 2025. Only used a few times. This is the precursor to the Black Box HG-2 compressor (look it up. It’s amazing.) Though it is a preamp, I used it for more for it‘s DI and tone shaping abilities. It really rips in that department. You can drive this sucker into full-on analog tube distortion if you so please as well. No judgment here. Plugins and emulators certainly have their place, but if you’re a tone snob (which I’m guessing you are) nothing beats analog.
Would love to keep it, but life happens sometimes, and I got bills to pay.
