DESCRIPTION:
Up for sale is a beautifully preserved 1972 Gibson SG Standard in a classic Heritage Cherry finish , the body crafted from a single piece of Mahogany — an exceptional early-’70s Norlin Era original with an outstanding combination of originality and vintage mojo.
This guitar retains all of its original hardware and electronics:
• Original matching set of embossed Gibson humbucking T-Top pickups — rare Norlin-era detail that collectors actively seek.
• Original Emerson Pro 500k pots K1721. Part # 905-3833
• Original tuners, knobs, bridge, tailpiece, and frets — all in very good condition with honest play wear consistent with age.
• Original 1972 Gibson hard shell case — often missing on guitars this age.
The Heritage Cherry finish shows a warm vintage patina with typical light swirling , but no repairs or refinish. The neck is straight and comfortable with original frets in good playing shape. Electronics are all original and fully functional.
