Vintage RARE 1960's Turner 44D / 466 dynamic microphone High Z Satin Chrome w cable 33D 22D 77A

 You are looking at a very interesting and somewhat rare Turner "Balladier" 44D model microphone based on the 466 model dynamic microphone from the 1960's. This solid and modern looking mic with satin chrome finish makes this one of the least recognized and most interesting Turner microphones ever produced. This 44D microphone carries the High Z dynamic element which has a "rockabilly" sound that many musicians are looking for these days. 

 I honestly don't know the difference between the 44D and 466 model? Turner seems to have changed the model number at some point but again, I do not know why?

 Pic # 2 is from an old catalog showing the mics basic specs and price. A classic mid century design.

 This 466 has a strong, clear signal. This mic is quite chunky and has some good weight to her. Delicate would not be a good word to describe the 466. built in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and built to last.

 The on / off switch slides smooth and works perfectly. The Turner label shows almost no wear and completely legible.

 The beige plastic tip contains a nice metal screen that is free of any dents but there is lite tarnish. The plastic has a small fracture by the U on the Turner name. Purely cosmetic. The satin chrome body has quite a few tiny scratches but overall the finish is pretty nice which I would give a conservative 7 + on a scale of 1 - 10. There is a small screw missing on the rear of the mics head but it does not affect the operation of this mic in any way. This would make a fine display in any collection of vintage early microphones. This might possibly make a good harp mic due to it's high Z setting. If you are looking for something truly unusual and unique...look no further.

 Mic also comes with a nice older 15 foot cable that is free of any damage. Soft, pliable and comes with a chunky older male 1/4 inch end connector. This cable will work with most modern audio equipment and all guitar amplifiers.

 The threading for the cable and mic stand are perfect. No issues.
