Rescued and Upgraded 1986 Aria Pro II RS Series - Metallic Plum w/Leopard pickguard

This is another example of Triage Guitar Shop of West Palm Beach Florida saving an abused or abandoned classic guitar from extinction.

This 1986 Aria Pro II RS Series guitar started its journey to salvation as an almost empty husk. Only the Aria tuning machines, tremolo claw, body and neck and neckplate were there.

The following are the details of the actions taken and parts used to return this now attractive rocker to its rightful place on stage.

Cleaned off the Graffiti from the body and touched up and refreshed several spots in the paint that needed attention. Body was previously refinished in a metallic Faded Plum color.

Cleaned fingerboard and treated the rosewood to restore moisture.

Reviewed the fret condition and replaced missing, worn or damaged frets. Leveled and polished frets and filed fret ends.

Installed string retainer bar.

Remounted neck to body with the Aria neckplate and new mounting screws

Designed and fabricated 3-ply Leopard pickguard to mimic original guard shape. Installed cream pickup covers, switch tip, knobs and tremolo cavity cover.

Installed and wired 3 Alnico 5, high output (N-7.8k, M-8.3k, B-8.8k) Single Coil pickups with full size Volume and Tone pots and an .022uf Orange drop capacitor.

Installed quality 5-way blade switch and new output jack.

Installed Floyd Rose licensed Tone Ninja double locking tremolo, locking nut and springs. Tremolo arm also installed.

Installed new set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky (.009-.042) strings

Set neck relief, low action, pickup height and intonation.

Played every note repeatedly to detect and eliminate dead notes or fret buzz.

Includes Allen wrenches for 1) bridge string holders and locking nut 2)truss rod 3) saddle position for intonation.

Build Certificate and setup detail tag included.

Plenty of life and power left in this Classic.
