Another beautiful D-18 in impeccable condition with no cracks or repairs.

It plays wonderfully, as it has benefited from an expert neck reset. The frets are in good condition and the neck angle is perfect. It has that lovely dry resonance that is especially appreciated in the brand’s dreadnought models. One of the most striking things when you pick it up is its light weight. It weighs only 1.8 kg (about 4 lbs) , which often results in guitars that are very open and able to vibrate freely. For comparison, the 1951 D-18 currently in the shop weighs only 100 g less. It’s worth noting that the bridge has retained its full height and has not been sanded down as is so often seen. On the back of the neck, the finish is worn because it is an instrument that has been played a lot, but clearly with care, as a 50-year-old instrument does not reach us in this condition without special attention.

Supplied with its hard case.
