This is part of the Murphy Lab series, supervised by Tom Murphy, the "ultimate vintage replica aged model."

The texture and feel of the paintwork, and the overall atmosphere, evoke the passage of time, giving the player a look and feel that approaches that of a genuine vintage guitar.

While the '58 model usually features a plain top, this particular instrument uses a Lightly Figured Maple top with visible wood grain. The "Gibson" and "Les Paul" logos on the headstock, the color of the dish inlay material on the fretboard, and the potentiometers and bumblebee capacitors in the circuitry all feature vintage-like specifications. Of course, the basic specifications such as all-hide glue construction and the use of True Historic parts are also retained. The neck grip features an Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape, and the frets are also '59 type, making it a '59 specification in terms of playability.

You can enjoy a fat and tight sound image, a fast attack that approaches the original sound, excellent responsiveness, and a fat, sustained, and straightforwardly good sound.

This is an aged model, but it shows little signs of use and is in overall clean and good condition. The neck condition is good, the truss rod has plenty of adjustment range, and there is almost no fret wear, resulting in excellent playability.
