Part of the Fender Boxer series of the mid 1980's, the ST-556 was featured on the front page of Fender Japan's 1984 catalog. Alder body with a black maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3.4kg's. 648mm scale length with 22 frets, it's loaded with the original Hot Rod single coil and Dragstar humbucker HSS configuration controlled by a three-way pickup selector with master volume and TBX tone knobs.
Good vintage condition as pictured with a few signs of wear from general use but no breaks or repairs, appears to be all original. The neck is straight and the truss adjusts freely, the frets are shiny and smooth with plenty of life left.
