One of the biggest improvements is the gain sweep, particularly in the first 25 percent. Where previous versions jumped quickly into gritty drive, the Kilt 10 offers articulate low-gain textures, subtle breakup and expressive amp-pushing tones. Combined with the refined G1/G2 toggles, players get four instantly accessible gain voices ranging from smooth overdrive to aggressive, gated fuzz, perfect for stacking, boosting or shaping an entire set’s worth of sounds.

Enhanced toggles and low-cut control

The Kilt 10’s toggle switches have been re-voiced for wider usefulness across amps, modellers and hybrid rigs. The low-cut toggle now behaves more predictably and works well with a broader range of cabinets and virtual amps, cutting low-end build-up without losing fullness. The G1 and G2 toggles continue to offer the Kilt’s iconic clipped drive and gnarlier fuzz modes, but with more clarity and dynamic consistency, making them easier than ever to dial in on stage.

Premium anniversary construction

To celebrate ten years, JHS has restored the polished aluminium aesthetic of the original V1, paired with stylish Expandora-style knobs and an updated Kilt emblem referencing both Scotland and the Roman numeral X. Internally, a new diode selection delivers more saturation and smoother response while maintaining the pedal’s signature character. With Red Remote compatibility for gain switching on the fly, the Kilt 10 combines boutique build quality with modern performance versatility.
