There is absolutely nothing else like a pre-war Gibson flattop. Even their budget flattops of the day are exceptionally voiced. This factory original Black finished L-00 hails from 1937, one of Gibson's best years. X-braced, solid wood spruce/mahogany pairing, this L-00 could not be better. It displays alot of wear throughout, but is still going strong and a fun playing experience thanks to the V shaped neck profile and short 24 3/4" Gibson scale length.
Clearly at some point the back of this guitar received some sort of finish wear, possibly from a drip of some material that reacted to the lacquer finish. It is cosmetic and has not gone through the actual wood. This example has a reglued bridge and replaced saddle. The neck has been reset and 1 bridge pin has been reaplced. Serial #527C, comes with a non original case. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition of this instrument. As with all of our vintage listings, included is a vintage spec sheet which details any repairs & changes of note.
