Post modifications these are very similar to a classic SSL channel strip with great punch and focus but uses near discrete quality Burr Brown opamps as opposed to NE5532 opamps in the amplification stages.

The service on these increases the headroom of the unit, widens the frequency response, lowers the noise and increases the detail of the three dimensional image.

Commonly used for vocal broadcast production, these units tend to sound a little small and focused for recording purposes with a noise floor and grit that is not ideal so we have overhauled them, gutted the opamps in favor of high quality performance chips, increased the Power supply voltage from Consumer 15v to 18v pro and so much more, read on.

Our goal with these modifications is to make the unit sounds smoother, fuller and more musical with a lower noise floor and more ear pleasing tone.

When we are done they are an SSL killer with great tone, focus and clarity.

On this unit we have modified:

The SSM2015 preamp is updated with a better bandwidth, lower noise and higher headroom preamp.
Coupling and de-coupling is also performed throughout the circuit using premium parts for better frequency response, lower noise and more musicality.
Buffer stages of the audio path are also modified for even better audio performance from the entire unit.
The power supply is modified for better current delivery and lower noise of the entire unit as well.

The unit is then fully recapped for better longevity and lower noise as well.

It has been professionally modified by our technicians and given the seal of approval to go to work at you home or in your studio.
