This Gibson Slash Les Paul Standard combines the hand-selected specifications of all Gibson electric guitars that have proven themselves to the influential Guns N' Roses lead guitarist throughout his long and successful career.

With this Slash Les Paul Standard, Gibson meticulously follows the guidelines of the classic singlecut design to combine a powerful sound with an appealing look: a solid mahogany body without weight relief, where the intense flame of the “AAA” flame maple top is perfectly showcased by the Appetite Burst finish. The set mahogany neck also features a substantial “'50s Vintage” profile that fits comfortably and securely in the hand, allowing every lick and riff to be played with ease on the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

The pickups are Gibson Custom Burstbuckers equipped with Alnico II magnets, which elicit the unmistakable signature sound of the cylinder-wearing guitar hero from the guitar amplifier. In addition to powerful, harmonic cleans, the guitar delivers rich overdrive tones with charismatic mid-range crunch and silky brilliance, making it ideal for sustain-laden lead playing and driving riffs. The electric guitar is controlled via a hand-wired circuit featuring a 3-way switch as well as dedicated volume and tone controls for each pickup, with Orange Drop capacitors enabling smooth treble roll-offs.

A sound sample of the model can be found above at the end of the photo gallery.

Indestructible hardware completes the look of this Slash Paula. From the aluminum Stopbar tailpiece, the strings run over a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, which guarantees optimal intonation and string action thanks to precise adjustment options. On the classic open-book headstock, a GraphTech nut guides the strings to the precise and tuning-stable vintage-style Keystone tuners.
