This 1987-88 “Bluegrass Special” Guild D-50 is 100% American made, with rosewood back and sides, spruce top, piezo under-saddle pickup, and OHSC. This guitar has been meticulously taken care of, including pro fret work and neck jig for perfect action and intonation. Frets are original, as far as I know, yet have plenty of life left, zero denting, and no fret buzz anywhere up or down the neck. There’s a bit of finish checking near the pick guard and some very minor dings on the lower bout that are hard to photograph and honestly not easy to see. It’s “player grade” (not a collector’s item) but in really good shape for its age. I’ve been the sole owner for the last 20+ years. It’s traveled with me overseas and has been played in countless shows at home and abroad. It’s a great guitar, but it’s not getting played enough and deserves a new home.
