TAMA SUPERSTAR early-80s 16" x 24" Bass Drum in Cherry Wine lacquer

These drums are considered staples of 80s Tama quality, often described as some of the best-sounding kits ever made by the company. Pro quality all the way.

These are getting harder and harder to find in this condition as most suffer from bad "tom rash" from deep 1980's Power toms scraping against the shell. At one point, I hand chose this drum between three of the same size/model/finish for its superior sound and cosmetics. A beautiful 44-year-old drum.

This one has a few small nicks and scratches on the top (pictured), but they disappear as you step back a few feet. One corner of the T badge is bent up a little (pictured). *Note: the black scuff in the photo from the batter head side is on the head, not the drum.*

As expected there is wear on the batter side hoop where a pedal attaches. Front hoop looks great and both are structurally sound.

I didn't use the tom mount so I removed it, but it is included and in great shape like the rest of the drum (It's been in storage for 25 years). Also included are the original heads, both foam inserts for the Evans Emad head installed, and an Anvil fibre hard case.
