2009 Fodera Emperor II 5 Elite – Spalted Mango – NYC Era
I’m listing a 2009 Fodera Emperor II 5 Elite that I’ve kept in exceptional condition. This is a NYC-era build with a beautiful spalted mango top and matching headstock, paired with the classic Duncan dual coils and Pope preamp.
This bass has that unmistakable Fodera thing—clear, articulate, and a rock-solid low B, with a very musical and flexible preamp.
Specs in short:
- Alder body / alder tone block
- 3-piece maple neck, rosewood board
- 34” scale
- 10 lbs 5 oz
- Extended B headstock
- Matching wood pickup covers
Condition is excellent. There is one very small cosmetic ding on the headstock—purely aesthetic and hard to notice unless you’re looking for it. Otherwise, it’s extremely clean.
Includes original Fodera case, tools, and paperwork.
If you’re looking for a classic-spec Emperor II with a killer top, this is a great example.
