Easily one of the coolest offerings in its time, the SG Special looks as modern as we're sure it did back in the 60's. Made even cooler by a factory original finish, this '65 SG Special is sure not to last. As expected, it sounds amazing with that all mahogany/P-90 pairing that has made it so popular over the past decades. This one is worn-in with all the right patina and wear, gigged but with love. No breaks or repairs, this one is really special and has the right 'mojo' people talk about: no joke, this one has it in spades.

This example has a replaced bridge pickup volume knob & nut. Interestingly the middle position produces an 'out of phase' mix, a factory quirk given the original wiring and original soldering to the pickups leads. Serial #324317, comes with the original chipboard case. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition of this instrument. As with all of our vintage listings, included is a vintage spec sheet which details any repairs & changes of note.
