The Ibanez Q52FMG Q Standard is part of Ibanez's headless "Quest" series, built from the ground up to be a modern tool for modern players. This guitar is a great fit for players exploring technical, progressive, or experimental styles-but it's also surprisingly accessible if you're just curious about the headless format. Ibanez didn't just remove the headstock; they reimagined the entire platform with player comfort, tone clarity, and hardware innovation at the core.

You're looking at a lightweight ash body with a flamed maple top and a 3-piece roasted maple/bubinga neck for excellent strength and stability. The Q58 humbuckers are clean and detailed, with clarity across all frequencies, and the dyna-MIX10 switching system gives you a ton of tonal options from just two pickups. The Mono-Tune bridge and proprietary string-locking system keep tuning and intonation locked in, while giving the whole guitar a very direct, responsive feel under your hands.

Playability is dialed in with the Wizard C neck and a roasted birdseye maple board that feels smooth and broken-in right out of the box. The overall balance and weight are hard to beat if you're after comfort on long sessions or gigs. The Q52FMG is a forward-thinking instrument, and whether you're diving into fusion, math rock, or just want a versatile guitar that travels well and plays fast, this one really delivers. We've had great feedback from folks who didn't think headless was for them-until they picked this one up.
