The Sugal 18KT Gold KW II +s tenor saxophone mouthpiece was designed by master artisan and mouthpiece model maker Gary Sugal in 1993 for saxophonist extraordinaire Kirk Whalum.
This “beefier” 18KT heavy gold overlay on pure copper bar stock is the original design with the exact same table measurements made for Whalum, and is regarded as the holy grail of mouthpieces.
